This notice explains how Pixel Bowl Studio handles personal information when you browse this website, contact our team or enquire about working with us.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
Pixel Bowl SRL, trading as Pixel Bowl Studio, is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at hello@pixelbowlstudio.com or write to our Bucharest office: 16 Bucur Street, 2nd Floor, Sector 4, 040292 Bucharest, Romania. Please mark privacy enquiries “Privacy request”.
2. Information you provide
Our project enquiry form asks for your name, work email address and message. You may also provide your company name and attach a project brief. We receive the information you include in emails and subsequent correspondence. Please share only information relevant to your request and avoid sending sensitive personal information or information about others unless necessary and authorised.
If you contact us about a role, we receive the professional information you choose to provide, such as your CV, portfolio and contact details. Any recruitment-specific notice provided during an application also applies.
Project enquiries also include your selected service, the page used to submit the request and any campaign parameters included in its URL, such as campaign source and name. Enquiry details are processed through our website’s message inbox and email so that our team can manage and respond to your request.
3. Information associated with browsing
Requests to our website and to external resources can disclose technical information such as your IP address, browser, device information, requested page and time of access to the servers delivering that content. Cookies and similar browser storage are explained in our Cookie Policy.
4. Why we use personal information
- Responding to enquiries and managing business contacts: our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us and organising our business relationships (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you personally request steps towards a contract, Article 6(1)(b) may apply.
- Considering applications: taking steps at your request before entering an employment contract, where applicable, and our legitimate interest in assessing relevant professional experience and communicating with applicants.
- Operating and protecting the website: our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable service, diagnosing faults and preventing misuse.
- Meeting legal requirements: complying with applicable obligations under Article 6(1)(c), and establishing or defending legal claims where necessary.
- Consent-based activities: where consent is required, the relevant activity must be covered by a separate choice. Sending an enquiry does not itself subscribe you to promotional emails.
5. Who may receive information?
Information may be accessed by the team members handling your request and by service providers supporting website hosting, email, IT and related business operations, as needed for those tasks. Professional advisers or public authorities may receive information when necessary for legal obligations or claims.
The website also links to social platforms and game stores and displays some externally hosted media. Those providers receive information when your browser connects to them and apply their own privacy notices. A link to another website does not mean that this notice covers that website.
6. International processing
Depending on the provider involved, information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where we arrange a restricted international transfer, an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
7. How long is information kept?
Retention depends on the purpose and the relationship involved. Enquiry correspondence is assessed by whether it is still needed to answer the request, continue an active discussion or document a business relationship. Recruitment records are assessed against the application process and any separately agreed future-opportunity purpose. Legal retention requirements, unresolved disputes and security needs may justify longer retention. You can ask us about the period applicable to your information.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
Email hello@pixelbowlstudio.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month; where an extension is permitted, you will be informed.
You may also complain to a competent supervisory authority. In Romania this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
9. Security and updates
Safeguards must be appropriate to the information and risks involved. No website or email channel can offer an absolute security guarantee; please contact us if you suspect a privacy or security issue involving your information.
We may update this notice as our website and activities change. The date above identifies this version. Reading this notice or continuing to browse is not a substitute for consent where consent is required.
