Pixel Bowl began on a small scale in Bucharest in the summer of 2019. From an apartment to our first office, then a larger home for a growing team, each move has marked another chapter in our story. Now we are planning what comes next.
Our story started in an apartment in Bucharest, with a simple ambition: build a team that could help developers make better games. We started small, getting to know one another and shaping the way we wanted to work.
By the autumn of 2019, we had signed the lease for our first official office. Having our own space made the studio feel real: the Pixel Bowl name on the door, desks ready for the team and a place to sit together and talk through the work.
Looking back at these photographs, it is the familiar details that stand out. The gaming posters, the meeting table and the small console corner were all part of making that first office our own. It was where we began building the habits, relationships and shared experience that would grow with us.
As more people joined and our projects grew, we needed more room. Our next chapter took us to a central Bucharest office with around 800 square metres on a single floor. During that time, the team grew to more than 100 analysts.
The move gave us space for larger teams and more equipment, but the most meaningful change was the experience we were building together. With each project, we learned more about coordinating delivery, supporting our colleagues and keeping quality consistent as the studio grew.
There was room for studio life, too: a game on the sofa, a table-football break and the everyday moments between deadlines. Those moments belong in the story just as much as the workstations do.

Our journey also ran through the pandemic and the shift to working from home. In 2023, business requirements brought us back to the office. Both experiences helped shape the hybrid approach we use today, guided by the team, the work and each project’s security requirements.
For 2026 and beyond, we want to take the next step: a workspace designed around Pixel Bowl’s needs from the start. We are bringing the lessons of our earlier offices into plans for a new home that supports both our people and the technical work ahead.
Our priorities are dedicated, secure spaces for AI and performance infrastructure, practical areas for testing on real hardware, and a comfortable environment for the Pixels working on site. These are plans for the next chapter, with more to share as they take shape.
We plan to bring dedicated AI machines and performance testing hardware into spaces designed for their day-to-day use, supporting deeper analysis and reporting.
We want focused work areas, room to collaborate and places to take a break, supporting the hybrid balance we have developed through experience.
We started small. Our next space will carry everything we have learned along the way.
Bucharest is where every version of Pixel Bowl has taken shape. As we prepare for the next move, the ambition remains familiar: give our people the environment they need to do good work and help our partners make better games.
