Pixel Bowl Studio

THE PIXEL BOWL APPROACH

A working feature can still be difficult to understand.

Playtesting helps reveal where the intended experience and the observed experience diverge. We start with the questions your team needs to answer, such as how players learn a mechanic, navigate an interface or respond to a multiplayer session. Findings are interpreted in context, separating observed behaviour from assumptions and connecting feedback to practical next steps.

COVERAGE

Support built around your game.

Usability & onboarding

Investigate clarity, navigation and how players understand the game’s early interactions and core systems.

Structured play sessions

Define objectives and scenarios around the questions the current build can meaningfully answer.

Evidence & interpretation

Bring observations and feedback into clear reporting for designers, QA and production stakeholders.

HOW WE WORK

From the brief to the next build.

  1. Define the questionsAgree the target experience, the build’s limitations and the decisions the playtest should inform.
  2. Shape the sessionsPlan scenarios, participant needs, observation points and how feedback will be captured.
  3. Review and iterateDiscuss the findings, identify priorities and use later sessions to investigate changes.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Clear findings. Shared context.

The output can include session observations, usability findings and a synthesis of player feedback, according to the agreed scope. We do not treat a small playtest as a guarantee of market response. Its value is in helping the team ask better questions and make more informed design decisions.
