Meet the Pixels: Episode Twelve

2025 is the year for reboots and we are also joining the trend by restarting our Meet the Pixels series, this is not a new season so we continue with episode twelve.

When Andrei first joined Pixel Bowl Studio, we were still figuring out if “Pixel Bowl” sounded more like a game company or a breakfast cereal. Since then, a lot has changed — but Andrei has been one of the constants, growing alongside the team and shaping the vibe we’re proud of today.

Describing himself as a little “airborne” most of the time, Andrei has a talent for switching gears fast. One moment he’s laid-back, the next he’s zeroed in with laser focus, solving tricky problems and picking apart bugs like it’s second nature.
He loves games that push his brain to its limits, and if you ever get stuck in a tough strategy session, he’s the one you want by your side.

Outside of work, Andrei’s mind is just as active. He’s a huge fan of history — whether it’s ancient battles or modern world events — and he’s the type who can casually drop a fact about the Punic Wars in the middle of a team chat. Music is always playing in the background, mostly metal, though he’s open to anything with a good beat.

Andrei is also working on something most of us only dream about: writing a book. True to his humor, he jokes that he can’t wait “to see how badly it doesn’t sell” — but knowing Andrei, we think it might just surprise him.

What really makes Andrei stand out is the environment he creates around him. He’s the kind of teammate who makes it easy to speak up, share ideas, and be yourself. No pressure, no judgment — just a relaxed space where great work (and the occasional epic rant about historical events) naturally happens.

We’re lucky to have Pixels like Andrei on board. Here’s to many more chapters — both in games and in his future book!
